Description of key information

Additional information

The substance is a white powder at 1013 hPa and 20 °C. The mean particle size of the test substance is 13.21 µm and the D50 is 9.4 µm. The density is 1.124 g/ml at 25 °C. The melting point is 267.82 °C and the boiling point is > 400 °C (estimated value = 543.31 °C). The estimated value of the vapour pressure is 1.67 × 10^-9 Pa at 25 °C (EpiSuite 4.1). The substance has a low water solubility (95 mg/l at 25 °C and pH ca 7) and a high partition coefficient (logPow = 3.06 at 25 °C). As the substance has tensioactive properties the surface tension was calculated and it resulted to be 35.9 mN/m at 20 °C. The self-ignition temperature is 350 °C.The test substance is not auto-flammable, flammable and explosive and it is deemed to be potentially not oxidising based on the chemical structure and the known experience in the handling and use of the substance.
