In a previous test the water solubility was determined to be more than 150 g/L. Based on this the initial concentration of about 1000g/L for the final part of the test was chosen.

The determined final result for water solubility of the test substance was calculated to be more than 500g/L. In the test set up about 50g of test substance and 50mL of deionised water was brought together. Because the test substance is a liquid this test set up resulted in a total volume of about 100mL. It was technically not possible to reach an initial concentration of 1000g/L because not less than 50mL of deionised water could be added to 50g of test substance as otherwise dilution of the test substance would be the case instead of dissolving the test substance in water. As described before 50g of test substance and 50mL of deionised water resulted in a total volume of about 100mL. As this was the maximum test substance-water ratio that could be used in the test set up the water solubility could not be determined at a higher value than about 500g/L, therefore this figure is used as maximum result for the test.

The individual results of determined concentration of test substance at the different time points are presented in Table I, duplicate water solubility results per time point are graphically displayed in Figure 1 in the attachment.
