Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Four studies with aquatic organisms from three different trophic levels are available; three acute endpoints and two chronic endpoints.

One acute freshwater fish study with Danio rerio, a semi-static test set up, according to OECD guideline 203 was performed. A nominal concentration of 100 mg a.i./L did not cause any effect. This test concentration was converted to measured TWA active ingredient concentration as the test substance was not stable during the test.

The 96h-LC50 for fish is greater than 67.6 mg a.i./L (measured TWA), The 96h-NOEC is greater than or equal to 67.6 mg a.i./L..

One acute freshwater invertebrate study with Daphnia magna, a static test set up, according to OECD guideline 202 was performed. The test substance was not stable during the tst and therefore the geometric mean of the measured active ingredient concentrations is used.

The 48h-EC50 for aquatic invertebrates is 7.1 mg a.i./L (measured geometric mean).

One chronic study with Daphnia magna according to OECD 211 was performed. Exposure of Daphnia magna for 21 days to the test item resulted in significant mortalities at the concentrations of 24 and 42 mg/L (equivalent to 7.1 and 12 mg a.i./L, respectively) resulting in 100% mortality by Days 2 and 1, respectively.

The 21 Day EC50 and EC10 (immobilization) value, based on the average measured concentration of the freshly prepared test preparations, for the parental daphnia generation (P1) were calculated to be 13 mg/L and 5.6 mg/L, respectively (equivalent to 3.9 mg a.i./L and 1.7 mg a.i./L).

The 21 Day EC50 and EC10 (reproduction) based on the average measured concentration of the freshly prepared test preparations were 19 mg/L and 15 mg/L, respectively (equivalent to 5.6 mg a.i./L and 4.3 mg a.i./L).

The NOEC and the LOEC based on the average measured concentration of the freshly prepared test preparations were 14 and 24 mg/L, respectively (equivalent to 4.0 and 7.1 mg a.i./L).

One study with the freshwater alga species Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, a static test set up, according to OECD guideline 201 was performed. The test substance was not stable during the test and therefore measured TWA active ingredient concentrations were used.

The 72h-ErC10 for freshwater algae is 3.5 mg a.i./L (measured. TWA) and the 72h-ErC50 is 5.4 mg a.i./L (measured TWA).

Toxicity to microorganisms was determined as well in an activated sludge respiration inhibition test was performed according to OECD 209.

The EC10 and EC50 (3h) of the substance for activated sludge are 62 mg a.i./L and 182 mg a.i./L, respectively. The substance is therefore considered harmless to activated sludge.
