Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
Combustion Number 2 can be assigned to the substance: brief ignition and rapid extinction
The substance does not have to be classified as a “readily combustible solid”, class 4.1, of the transport regulations.
The substance does not have to be classified as a “flammable solid” according to EU-GHS/CLP.
The substance does not have to be classified as a “highly flammable solid” according to EG 440/2008.
Executive summary:

The substance was tested for flammability according to VDI 2263 sheet 1.

The product showed a local smouldering fire when a hot wire was applied as ignition source at ambient temperature. A propagation of the combustion was not observed. When a flame was applied as ignition source at ambient temperature no reaction was observed. The product melted.

The combustion behaviour of the product at ambient temperature is characterized by the burning index BZ 2 (brief ignition and rapid extinction).

Due to the fact that no propagation of the combustion was observed the burning rate had not to be determined.
