Principle of method

The density of test item is determined by using pyknometer. It is the ratio of mass of the unit volume of test item at a stated temperature to mass of the same volume of gas free distilled water at a stated temperature.

other supporting study from authoritative database suggests that the density of chemical Scarlet red was determined to be 1.19±0.1 g/cm3  at 20°C and pressure 760 torr.

As the data from lab has K1 reliability and the test was performed using OECD guidelines which has the value of density as 1.331 g/cm3 thus considered as key study for the chemical safety assessment.
