Three independent studies were performed to determined COD, BOD5 and the inherent biodegradability of FAT21020/C, according to GLP and according respectively to guideline DEV DIN 38'409-H41-1 1980 , guideline ISO 5815 and OECD Guideline 302B

The COD was found to be 1473 mg O2/gr, BOD5 to be 11 mg O2/gr and the inherent biodegradability to be 13.4%.

Supporting studies were performed on different batches (A and B) to determine BOD and COD.

FAT 21020/A: COD is found to be 881.22 mg/ gr O2, BOD5 to be 0 mg/gr O2

FAT 21020/B: COD is found to be 690.6 mg/ gr O2, BOD5 to be 280 mg/gr O2

The inherent biodegradability test and the BOD5/COD ratio (<0.6) indicate that the test substance FAT21020/C is not expected to be biodegradable.
