Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

As the substance is highly insoluble, the log Kow was estimated by QSAR.

The results obtained indicated that the log Kow values of the test substance are higher than 13.28.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The octanol/water partition coefficient of a complex reaction product was experimentally measured in accordance with OECD testing guideline 123 and GLP requirements. As the test is insoluble in water, it could not be analytically detected in the water phase. Therefore, the ratio of the concentration of the test compound in 1-octanol by the concentration in water cannot be determined with the slow-stirring method.

As supporting data, QSAR (Kowwin v1.68) estimations were performed for the constituents listed in the boundary composition.

The Log Kow values obtained with the Kowwin QSAR (v1.68) ranged from 13.28 to 20.60.

The overall conclusion is that log Kow values for known consituents are equal to or greater than 13.28.
