Additional information

The following physico-chemical properties of tin difluoride were studied by appropriate testing:

(i) granulometry and dustiness testing,

and as supportive information the pH value for tin difluoride is given for solutions with 1, 2.5 and 5% (w/w). Several other endpoints are covered with handbook data.

It is noted that handbook data for physico-chemical properties are considered to be from a trusted source acc. to "ECHA, Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment – Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance" and therefore, these data could be regarded as valid.

The results of the studies are reported in the endpoint summary as well as in the accompanying IUCLID database. Data for several endpoints were waived due to intrinsic properties of tin difluoride or based on the criteria as laid down in regulation (EC) 1907/2008 as described above.
