Description of key information
Appearance:
On the basis of physical observation, the chemical 7-[[2-[(aminocarbonyl)amino]-4-[[4-chloro-6-[[4-[vinylsulphonyl]phenyl]amino]-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl]amino]phenyl]azo]naphthalene-1,3,6-trisulphonic acid, sodium salt was Beige to orange to yellow solid powder in appearance .
Melting point:
The melting point of test substance was estimated by Adapted Joback Method using the EPI Suite MP BP VP Program (v1.43).
Based on the QSAR prediction done using the EPI Suite, the melting point of test substance 1,3,6-Naphthalenetrisulfonic acid, 7-((2-((aminocarbonyl)amino)-4-((4-chloro-6-((4-(ethenylsulfonyl)phenyl)amino)-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)amino)phenyl)azo)-, sodium salt was estimated to be 349.84 deg C.
Boiling point:
The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid which melts above 300°C.
Density:
The density of test item 7-[[2-[(aminocarbonyl)amino]-4-[[4-chloro-6-[[4-[vinylsulphonyl]phenyl]amino]-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl]amino]phenyl]azo]naphthalene-1,3,6-trisulphonic acid, sodium salt was determined following OECD Guideline 109 and according to the method Adapted from ASTM D854-02 using glass pyknometer. The mean density of 7-[[2-[(aminocarbonyl)amino]-4-[[4-chloro-6-[[4-[vinylsulphonyl]phenyl]amino]-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl]amino]phenyl]azo]naphthalene-1,3,6-trisulphonic acid, sodium salt was determined to be 1.85 g/cm³ at 20°C.
Particle size distribution:
The particle size distribution of test item 7-[[2-[(aminocarbonyl)amino]-4-[[4-chloro-6-[[4-[vinylsulphonyl]phenyl]amino]-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl]amino]phenyl]azo]naphthalene-1,3,6-trisulphonic acid, sodium salt was determined by granulometric analysis with rotap sieve shaker. The particle size distribution was determined to be in the range of 150 micron to 25 micron.
Vapour pressure:
The study does not need to be conducted because the melting point is above 300°C.
Partition coefficient:
The octanol water partition coefficient of chemical 1,3,6-Naphthalenetrisulfonic acid, 7-(2-(2-((aminocarbonyl)amino)-4-((4-chloro-6-((4-(ethenylsulfonyl)phenyl)amino)-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)amino)phenyl)d iazenyl)-, sodium salt was estimated to be 0.48.
Water solubility:
The water solubility of test substance1,3,6-Naphthalenetrisulfonic acid, 7-((2-((aminocarbonyl)amino)-4-((4-chloro-6-((4-(ethenylsulfonyl)phenyl)amino)-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)amino)phenyl)azo)-, sodium salt was estimated using the EPI Suite WATERNT Program (v1.01).
Based on the QSAR prediction done using the EPI Suite WATERNT Program (v1.01), the solubility of test substance in water was estimated to be 172.1 mg/l. Thus, based on this value, the substance was considered to be moderately soluble in water.
Surface tension:
In accordance with column 2 of Annex VII of the REACH regulation, the study need only be conducted if surface activity is a desired property of the chemical. The chemical 1,3,6-Naphthalenetrisulfonic acid, 7-(2-(2-((aminocarbonyl)amino)-4-((4-chloro-6-((4-(ethenylsulfonyl)phenyl)amino)-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)amino)phenyl)diazenyl)-, sodium salt is used as a dyestuff for textiles/paper industry. For this use, surface activity is not an important property. Hence this study was considered for waiver.
Flash point:
Based on available data from authoritative database, the flash point of chemical 1,3,6-Naphthalenetrisulfonic acid, 7-(2-(2-((aminocarbonyl)amino)-4-((4-chloro-6-((4-(ethenylsulfonyl)phenyl)amino)-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)amino)phenyl)diazenyl)-, sodium salt (1:?). was determined to be greater than 200 degree C.
Auto flammability:
The chemical 1,3,6-Naphthalenetrisulfonic acid, 7-(2-(2-((aminocarbonyl)amino)-4-((4-chloro-6-((4-(ethenylsulfonyl)phenyl)amino)-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)amino)phenyl)diazenyl)-, sodium salt (1:?).did not catch fire on being exposed to air at room temperature of 27°C and atmospheric pressure of 966 hPa. This indicates that 2-ethoxybenzoic acid is not auto-flammable.
Flammability:
The chemical 1,3,6-Naphthalenetrisulfonic acid, 7-(2-(2-((aminocarbonyl)amino)-4-((4-chloro-6-((4-(ethenylsulfonyl)phenyl)amino)-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)amino)phenyl)diazenyl)-, sodium salt has an NFPA rating of 1 for Flamability and the flash point is greater than 200 degree C which is very high. As per the CLP regulation the chemical which has flash point >than 60 degree C was considered to be non-flammable. Thus, the chemical is unlikely to be "Flammable" under normal conditions of use, storage and transportation and hence this end point was considered for waiver & the chemical is classified as "Non Flammable".
Explosiveness:
The study does not need to be conducted because the substance contains chemical groups associated with explosive properties which include oxygen, but the calculated oxygen balance is less than - 200.
Oxidising properties:
In accordance with column 2 of Annex VII of the REACH regulation, the substance 7-[[2-[(aminocarbonyl)amino]-4-[[4-chloro-6-[[4-[vinylsulphonyl]phenyl]amino]-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl]amino]phenyl]azo]naphthalene-1,3,6-trisulphonic acid, sodium salt is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials on the basis of the chemical structure. It is an organic substance containing oxygen and chlorine atom but these elements are not chemically bonded to nitrogen or oxygen. Thus, the chemcial is considered to be "Non-oxidising" for the purpose of chemical safety assessment.
Viscosity:
The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid
