Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Surface tension (at 20°C) = 52.7 mN/m, the test item has to be regarded as surface active.
Executive summary:

The determination of the surface tension of the test item was performed in a GLP test according to EC Method A.5 and OECD Guideline 115. An aqueous solution of the test item was prepared: 115.6 mg of the test item and 100 mL of water were shaken for 36 h at 20 °C to prepare a saturated solution. Afterwards, a 9/10 dilution of this solution in water was prepared. The mean surface tension of the 90 % saturated aqueous solution of the test item was determined as 52.7 mN/m at 20.0°C. Because the test item showed a surface tension below 60 mN/m, the test item has to be regarded as surface active.
