Results and discussion

Vapour pressure
Key result
Remarks on result:
other: No vapour pressure could be measured because the test item polymerises at a temperature of approximately 130 °C and at a pressure of approximately 10 hPa.

Individual Results

Thermal Stability (DSC)

A DSC-measurement in closed glass crucible showed a small exothermic effect in the temperature range of 170 - 220 °C and a broad exothermic effect in the temperature range of 245 - 445 °C with an overall energy of 534 J/g.

Vapour Pressure (Dynamic Method)

For filling the test apparatus, the test item was liquefied by heated up to approximately 60 °C. No vapour pressure could be measured because the test item polymerises at a temperature of approximately 130 °C and at a pressure of approximately 10 hPa. At lower temperatures no boiling of the test item could be observed.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
No vapour pressure could be measured because the test item polymerises at a temperature of approximately 130 °C and at a pressure of approximately 10 hPa.
Executive summary:

The vapour pressure of the test substance has been determined in a GLP test according to EU Method A.4 and OECD Guideline 104. In addition, a screening test for thermal stability and stability in air has been conducted according to OECD Guideline 113 (DSC). No vapour pressure could be measured as the test item polymerises at a temperature of ~ 130 °C (and at 10 hPa). At lower temperatures no boiling of the test item could be observed.
