Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.10 (Flammability (Solids))
Deviations:
no

yes (incl. QA statement)
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period
Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, the test substance was not readily combustible or highly flammable.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the flammability of the test substance according to EU Method A.10 in compliance with GLP.

The determination of flammability was carried out with the powdery test substance piled about 250 mm long by 20 mm wide by 10 mm high on a non-combustible and non-porous base plate. As ignition source, a flame was used to ignite the train at one end.

There was no ignition of the test substance within the 4 min test period in the preliminary study. Hence, the main study was not performed.

Under the study conditions, the test substance was not readily combustible or highly flammable.
