Description of key information
The surface tension of a 90% saturated aqueous solution of the hydrolysis products of OS-2200 is 61.2 mN/m at 25 ± 0.5ºC.

Key study: The test was performed according to the EEC Method A.5. with GLP standars. It was not possible to measure the surface tension of the test substance itself because of its rapid reaction with water and hence the surface tension of the hydrolysis products was measured.
The surface tension was determined at 25 ± 0.5 ºC and the measures were performed with two 90% saturated solutions. The time between preparation of the solution and the measurement was 75 minutes (test 1) and 90 minutes (test 2). The surface tension of a 90% saturated aqueous solution of the hydrolysis products of OS-2200 is 61.2 mN/m at 25 ± 0.5ºC. OS-2200 is not considered as being a surface active material at 25ºC.
