Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In line with ECHA final decision number TPE-D-2114493501-50-01/F, a toxicity to soil macroorganisms except arthropods study has been commissioned, conducted according to OECD Test Guideline 222 with the surrogate test substance, ATMP-xNa and in compliance with GLP and read across to the ATMP-N-oxide-5K registration substance (with appropriate mass correction). The study results will not be available in time for the final decision deadline of 15th December 2020, therefore an update will be submitted by June 2021.

Additional information

ATMP-N-oxide and their salts are highly adsorbing to soil and soil mineral substrates. The nature of the adsorption is believed to be primarily due to interaction with inorganic substrate or generalised surface interactions. High adsorption is consistent with similar behaviour seen for the analogues ATMP, DTPMP and HEDP, and other common complexing agents such as EDTA. By reference to findings with other similar substances, the binding occurs very rapidly and is effectively irreversible. For environmental fate purposes in exposure assessment this is assessed as a removal process.

Please refer to IUCLID Section 13 for further information on the read-across from the ATMP category to the ATMP-N-oxide category.
