Description of key information

The substance does not require classification for oxidising properties.

The substance contains no oxygen or halogen atoms. Therefore, in accordance with Annex VII, Section 7.13, Column 2, testing is not required. The study is waived as it is scientifically not necessary; the conclusion on classification is also supported by experience from long-term industrial handling.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Lead metal massive and lead metal powder do not require classification for oxidising properties, and the study is waived as the substance contains no oxygen or halogen atoms.

Furthermore, no oxidising properties have been observed throughout long-term industrial handling of the substance, and it is not classified for oxidising properties according to UN Transport regulations.

Further testing is not required in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex VII, Section 7.13, Column 2.
