The melting point of LAS was determined in two different studies. In the first study, melting point was determined using EU method A.1. A melting point range of 333.2 -388.2 K (60 -116 degrees C) at 102.1 kPa was found. In the second study, the melting point was determined using thermal analysis. A melting point of 198.5 degree C was found. The value of 198.5 degrees C is the preferred value based on previous assessments.
