Conclusion on classification

From the available information, the lowest short-term L(E)C50 from each of three trophic levels (fish, daphnia and algae) was 100 mg/l in Daphnia acute toxicity test. The test substance is non-biodegradable from the results of ready biodegradability test and inherent biodegradability test. The hydrolysis test showed the first of 40824/A at pH 7.0 has a half-life of 90 hours (4 days) at 25 °C. The second peak of FAT 40824/A at pH 9.0 has a half-life of 2530 hours (105 days) at 25 °C. But the hydrolysis products were not determined in this test. Therefore, the test substance is not considered to be rapidly degradable from available information. Thus, the test substance is classified as Chronic Category 3 according to EU CLP (Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008) regulation.
