Description of key information

NaCl is a solid. Viscosity testing is only required for fluids.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Viscosity testing of liquified NaCl requires temperatures above 800 °C. Therefore, only data for aqueous NaCl solutions can be found in public literature. E.g. in Dale W. Kaufmann - Sodium Chloride - The production and properties of salt and brine, American Chemical Society, ACS Monograph 145, Reinhold Publishing Comp., 1960, p. 622
