Despite log Kow values > 5 and calculated Koc values of 1415 to 1.086E+14 (KOCWIN v2.00, Episuite) indicating a high adsorption potential for Fatty Acid Glycerides, they are readily biodegradable. Therefore they are not expected to be persistent in the environment.

Furthermore, due to their ready biodegradability and low water solubility, their bioaccumulation potential is assumed to be low. In case of bioaccumulation (log Kow > 5), the bioaccumulation in biota of Fatty Acid Glycerides is assumed to be nonhazardous due to their metabolic fate in organisms.

Calculated Henry’s Law Constants show that Fatty Acid Glycerides have only a low volatility and will not evaporate from the water phase to the air.
