Description of key information

The proportion of slags, dore production less than 100µm has been determined to be 14.7%.
A particle size distribution study for slags, production of precious metal containing materials other than dore indicated a D50 of 138 µm and a D80 of 544 µm.

Additional information

The study for slags, dore production by Harlan (2010) is GLP compliant and follows a standard guideline. It is considered reliable and acceptable for use as a key study.

The particle size distribution of slags, production of precious metal containing materials other than dorewas determined in an experimental study using a sieving system (Outotec 2010). The study is not GLP, however the study followed sound scientific principles, was well documented and is considered suitable for use for this endpoint.
