Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In a 48-h GLP study with the analogue substance sodium formate performed according to US EPA (1975) guideline EPA-660/3 -75 -009 with Daphnia magna the EC50 was determined to be > 1000 mg/L (Hoechst Celanese, 1990).

The acute toxicity to marine invertebrates was tested in a 48 -h static assay with marine copepods (species not defined). The test item concentrations were not analytically verified, but can be assumed to be stable over the test period. The 48 -h LC50 was determined to be 300 mg/L (OSPAR, 2002).
