The upper and lower flammability ranges for Hydrocarbons, C9, aromatics are 0.88 - 6.5 % v/v

Description of key information

The upper and lower flammability ranges for the Hydrocarbons, C9, aromatics are 0.7 and 7.0 % v/v.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
flammable

Additional information

The upper and lower flammability ranges of the Hydrocarbons, C9, aromatics are 0.7 and 7.0 % v/v. This range has been agreed by the consortium to represent the category. The upper and lower flammability ranges reported in the key study 0.88 - 6.5  % v/v, are within the range agreed by the consortium.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the measured flash point of 25°C, the substance is classified as 'Flammable liquid category 3' with hazard statement 'H226: Flammable liquid and vapour' in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
