Description of key information

Effect concentration based on growth rate at 72 h were: EC50=150.67, LOEC:=8.76 and NOEC: 4.25 mg/l. Analytical verfication ranged from 76.9 to 130% and from 60.7 to 94% of nominal values, at 0 and 72 hours, respectively.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
150.67 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
4.25 mg/L

Additional information

The toxicity, as measured by biomass and growth rate, to Desmodesmus subspicatuswas evaluated in freshwater. Under the conditions of the study, the test substance ethylenediamine, propoxylated caused growth rate inhibition in the algal cultures, with EC50 (72 h) of 150.67, and NOEC (72 h) of 4.25 mg/l.
