Description of key information

The melting point is 295 - 315 °C. L-Valine sublimes.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
295 °C

Additional information

Several handbooks provide melting points of the same range. A melting point of ca. 315 °C is the highest value considering that L-valine sublimes. For the CSA the lowest value of 295 °C is selected.
