Description of key information

Short-term toxicity testing to daphnia magna was conducted under GLP according to OECD guideline 202.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The results from the key study (GLP guideline) indicate that PnB is of low toxicity to daphnia. The EC50 after 48 hours of exposure was > 1000 mg/l. This data is supported by the results of a non-GLP study following methods recommended by the US EPA, showing EC50 (48 hours) of 1436 mg/l.
