Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

- pH:

- Details on results:
- Under the conditions of this test (under exclusion of CO2 and O2 by argon atmosphere; flask method; loading 2g/L), the water solubility of diantimony tris(ethylene glycolate) at 20°C +/- 1°C could be determined between 0.4µ/L and 1.2µg/L (determined as dissolved Sb, separated by centrifugation from undissolved test item). Equlibrium was reached after 9 days stirring. The resulting pH value was approx. 5.5. Solubility is based on ICP-MS measurement of dissolved antimony. The test item was pulverized before the performance of the test.
- Conclusions:
- Interpretation of results (migrated information): insoluble (< 0.1 mg/L)
The water solubility of diantimony tris(ethylene glycolate) at 20°C +/- 1°C could be determined between 0.4µ/L and 1.2µg/L . Equlibrium was reached after 9 days stirring. The resulting pH value was approx. 5.5
Reference
ICP-MS analyses of the samples confirmed the low antimony concentration below 15µg/L. After 216, 240 and 264h the Sb concentrations were between 0.2 and 0.7µg/L. As a worst case scenario (larger surface) the date from the test with the pulverized test item diantimony tris(ethylene glycolate) were used. The mean values from the last three samplings (216 -264h) were constant with a difference below 15% between samplings (values of both test vessels were considered separately). Thus the mean value from each of these three samples was calculated as followes:
Test vessel I : 0.71 +/- 0.07 µg/L as Sb corresponds to 1.23 +/- 0.13µg/L as diantimony tris(ethylene glycolate); calculated for a theoretical Sb content of 57.5% (= factor 1.74)
Test vessel II : 0.22 +/- 0.01 µg/L as Sb corresponds to 0.38 +/- 0.02µg/L as diantimony tris(ethylene glycolate); calculated for a theoretical Sb content of 57.5% (= factor 1.74)
Description of key information
The water solubility of diantimony tris(ethylene glycolate) at 20°C +/- 1°C could be determined between 0.4µ/L and 1.2µg/L . Equilibrium was reached after 9 days stirring.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Water solubility:
- 0.4 µg/L
- at the temperature of:
- 20 °C
