Results and discussion

Results:
Letter to the TSCA Document Control Office dated September 12th 1984. "During my employment in the early forties in a chemical plant in Sweden we produced phthalimide by introducing gaseous H3N into molten phthalic anhydride (PA). Originally this was made in an open vessel, causing excessive exposure to sublimed and vaporized phthalimide (and probably some PA and minor amounts of H3N). The night after the first batch (abt. 50 kg), produced in this somewhat rude way, my laboratory assistant was sent to the hospital where lung oedema was recorded- as far as I remember rather seriously. After a week or two, however, he was back without any further health problems¿ (no further data)
