Conclusion on classification

Based on available acute toxicity data, the lowest valid effect concentration for freshwater aquatic organisms is 33.2 mg/L. One chronic datapoint is available, a 72h-NOEC for algae equal to 25 mg/L but this value is not used for the PNEC derivation. Based on these results and although the test substance is not readily biodegradable, it should not be classified for Acute or Chronic toxicity for the aquatic environment according to Annex 1 (section 4.1.2.6) of the CLP Regulation. Based on the same criteria the substance should not be classified for the environment under the Dangerous Substance Directive 67/548/EC (see Annex VI section 5.2.1.2).
