Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General recommendations: Remove contaminated clothing.
Inhalation : Fresh air. If irritation develops, seek medical advice.
Skin contact: Wash with plenty of water and soap. Do not use solvents.
Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water. If irritation develops, seek medical advice.
Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water. Seek medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media:
Water spray, foam, dry chemicals, CO2
Inappropriate extinguishing media: High pressure water stream
Special exposure hazards arising from the substance itself, combustion products, resulting gases: On burning carbon, nitrogen and sulphur oxides can be evolved.
Special protective equipment: Wear suitable breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: see 8.3. Avoid dust formation.
Environmental precautions: Do not empty into drains or watercourses.
Cleaning methods: Collect in a suitable container avoiding dust formation.
Handling and storage
Handling:
Precautions for safe handling: Ensure a good ventilation of the working area and exhaustion in case of dust formation.
Protection against fire and explosion: Product is combustible and can form an explosive dust/air mixture.
Take precautionary measures against static discharges.
Storage:
Requirements for rooms and containers: Store in closed containers in a cool place.
Incompatible materials: Oxidizers.
Storage conditions: Usual for chemical products.
Additional information: Hygroscopic product. Protect from moisture.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Limit values: TLV not established. Suggested: 10 mg/m3.
Personal protection
General protective measures: Do not breathe dust.
Avoid contact with eyes, skin and mucous membranes.
Respiratory protection: Filter mask for powders
Hand protection : Gloves
Eye protection : Goggles
Body protection : Apron
Other : Eyewash bottle
Stability and reactivity
Conditions to avoid (thermal decomposition): None with proper storage and handling.
Hazardous decomposition products: None with proper storage and handling.
Disposal considerations
Product: Dispose according to laws (e.g. incineration in authorized plant).
Contaminated packaging: Cleaning with water.
