Description of key information
Koc of 1,3-dioxan-5-ol and 1,3-dioxolane-4-methanol (glycerol formal ingredients) was estimated from log Kow with KOCWIN v2.00 as 0.3852 and 1.137 L/kg, respectively. With Koc value <15 l/kg, both glycerol formal ingredients are considered very mobile in soil.

In the ECHA guidance document R7a, chapter R.7.1.15.3 send to the equations presented in the EU TGD on Risk assessment chapter 4.3.4. There the equation for Nonhydrophobics was used and the Koc Calculated. Koc for glycerol formal was found to be 3.2.
