Conclusion on classification

According to the CLP regulation Table 4.1.0., a substance is categorized as hazardous to the aquatic environment (Chronic Category 3) if L(E)C50 > 10 to 100 mg/L and it is not rapidly biodegradable and/or has an experimentally determined BCF 500, unless the chronic toxicity NOECs are > 1 mg/L. Since L(E)C50s from all the acute toxicity tests were > 10 - 100 mg/l, the material is not readily biodegradable and chronic toxicity NOECs were > 1 mg/L, the test material is classified as hazardous to the aquatic environment (Chronic Category 3).
