Description of key information

Key study is a Manometric Respirometry Test.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

The test item attained 0% degradation after 28days and therefore cannot be considered as readily biodegradable. Although toxicity control attained 40% degradation after 14 days of the test, the biological oxygen demand values in the test vessels were significantly lower than those in the control vessels after 28days. It is therefore considered that some inhibition of the activated sewage sludge micro organisms had occurred.
