Any other information on results incl. tables

The test substance did not ignite and is not classified as highly flammable. During the initial evaluation and train test, the test substance did not ignite but produced a small amount of sparks and melted to a viscous black liquid that gradually turned black and produced yellow smoke. On completion of the test, an expanded, brittle black solid remained.

The moisture content was determined to be 27% (mean of 3 determinations). The samples were seen to have changed colour from orange to green after they had been in the oven overnight (ca 18 hours), with an accompanying weight loss of ca 0.83%. This colour change indicates a potential change in the physical/chemical nature of the material, which however cannot be confirmed. There was a slight deviation from the base line at ca 110°C in the DSC trace from the melting/boiling preliminary test, but nothing that would indicate such a weight loss.

The apparent high moisture content is not considered to have affected the integrity of the flammability testing and so the result obtained are considered to be valid.
