Description of key information

In the two tests, low biodegradation values were obtained at day 28 (2 and 0.6%, respectively). The extension of test duration to 60 days for the OECD 301D test and 56 days for the OECD 310 did not lead to an increase of biodegradation values with 0.4% and 4%, respectively.

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

Two screening tests (OECD 301D and OECD 310) to assess the biodegradation of the test item 20231250 were performed. Two different activated sludges non-adapted to the test item and sampled in waste water treating predominantly domestic waste water were used in both tests. Due to the low solubility in water of the test item, the durations of OECD 301D and OECD 310 were extended to 60 and 56 days, respectively. Inert carriers, such as silicon oil and tween 85, were used in the two tests to improve the bioavailability of the test item to microorganisms. In these tests, low biodegradation values were obtained at day 28 (2 and 0.6%, respectively). The extension of test duration to 60 days for the OECD 301D test and 56 days for the OECD 310 did not lead to an increase of biodegradation values with 0.4% and 4%, respectively.
