Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

At 4°C the test substance had the appearance of a hard wax; a troom temperature (ca 20°C) it was a semi mobile paste; and at 40°C it became a mobile liquid. A preliminary freezing point rest, cooling down to -25°C did not provide any conclusive results, so thermal analysis was performed using DSC, over the range -10 to 400°C.

The endothermic effect on all of the three tests was in two distinct stages: 13°C to 25°C and 25°C to 38°C. This might be in keeping with the above observations; the first stage represents the transition from solid to paste, and the second stage the transition from paste to mobile liquid.

It can be concluded that the endotermic effect is consistent with the test substance melting and the exothermic effect consistent with decomposition.
