Description of key information

A significant anaerobic biodegradation was not observed. The formation of gas within 56 days remained below 20% of the theoretical maximum.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

Remazol-Brillantrot F3B was tested on anaerobic bacteria by ISO 11734 method. Methane and carbon dioxide released is determined quantitatively. From the amount of carbon released into the gas is formed in a ratio of carbon used to determine the contents of the rate of anaerobic biodegradation. This test is used for the examination for ultimate anaerobic biodegradability.

A significant anaerobic biodegradation was not observed. The formation of gas within 56 days remained below 20% of the theoretical maximum.
