Description of key information
Toxicity to terrestrial plants: Key study: Experimental results with three different species. The 14-d EC50 value for Avena sativa in a loam sand soil culture was 4.6 mg/kg. The NOEC value was 1 mg/kg (test method acccording to OECD guideline 208).
The 14 -d EC50 value for Lactuca sativa in a loam sand soil was 37 mg/kg.
The 14 -d EC50 value for Lycopersicum esculentum in a loam sand soil was 154 mg/kg.

Key study: experimental results with three different species: The EC50 value for Avena sativa in a loam sand soil culture was 4.6 mg/kg. The NOEC value was 1 mg/kg (test method acccording to OECD guideline 208).
Lower EC50 values for trichloroacetic acid were shown when it was tested in nutrient solution than when tested in the soils. This indicates that part or most of the chemicals in the soils was not available to the plants, most probably due to adsorption to the soils.
The EC50 values in humic sand were in general somewhat higher (2-5 times) than those in loam, indicating less adsorption of trichloroacetic acid to loam.
The 14 -d EC50 value for Lactuca sativa in a loam sand soil was 37 mg/kg.
The 14 -d EC50 value for Lycopersicum esculentum in a loam sand soil was 154 mg/kg.
