Description of key information

Bioaccumulation: aquatic: Weight of evidence: experimental result and estimated data. Based on experimental data, the BCF range for Cyprinus carpio was between 0.4 -1.7. This result is supported by estimated data. Using the BCFWIN v2.17 model of EPI Suite v3.20, the BCF was 3.162. Other estimated data provide the following values: BCF is 4.5 and BCF 3.5. It is concluded that trichloroacetic acid shows a low potential for bioconcentration in aquatic organisms.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
