The poor water solubility of the test substance is causing problems in the performance of many studies. Thus its is proposed to waive the the studies on hydrolysis and adsorption/desortpion due the fact that it is impossible to prepare an adequate solution in water since the tests are technically not feasible. 

Also a study on the bioaccumulation in aquatic species is not conducted. A bioconcentration study on fish is technically not feasible as the substance is poorly soluble in water. As shown in the study acc. to the dissolution/transformation protocol most of the elements remain below the detection level. Only F and Si are detectable.

In a dietary study the test substance being a solid, should be ingested by the test organism. Due to the low dissolution of the elements from the particles the bioavailability of the test substance will remain very low. Moreover, only F and Si were detectable and they are not relevant in view of their bioaccumulation potential. Thus a the bioaccumulation study is not expected to yield any useful results and is therefore not proposed.
