First-aid measures

- General advice:

Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water. In the case of respirable dust and/or fumes, use self-contained breathing apparatus and dust impervious suit. Use personal protective equipment.

- Following inhalation:

Immediately move victims into fresh air, and have them take deep breaths. Have them rinse their mouth. Then maintain normal body temperature with a blanket. Consult physician when not feeling well.

- Following skin contact:

Remove contaminated clothes and shoes, rinse skin with plenty of water or shower. Use soap to help assure removal. If irritation persists, transport to a hospital immediately.

- Following eye contact:

Remove any contact lenses at once. Flush eyes well with a large amount of running water for at least 15 minutes. Assure adequate flushing by separating the eyelids with sterile fingers. Transport to a hospital immediately.

- Following ingestion:

Rinse mouth, and never induce vomiting. Transport to a hospital immediately.

Protection for first aid person

Savers wear proper protective equipment like rubber gloves, goggles.

- Most important symptoms and effects:

May be adverse to skin, cornea

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media:

Carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder, foam, water fog, drying sand

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

Toxic, irritating organic gases is emitted by combustion and high temperature.

- Advice for fire fighter:

Particular firefighting

Move containers from fire area if it can be done without risk, if not possible, apply water from a safe distance to cool and protect surrounding area. Evacuate personnel besides parties concerned to safe area. Dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide or drying sand should be used for small fires. Foam extinguisher is effective for a large scale fire. Battle the fires from the windward wearing respiratory protective equipment.

Special protective equipment for firefighters

Firemen should wear normal protective equipment and protective-pressure self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions, Protective equipment and emergency procedures:

Remove ignition sources and ventilate the area. Wear appropriate protective equipment (non-penetrating gloves, protective goggles, gas mast etc.) on operation. Stop the spill by sand and collect with empty container.

Absorbed by cloth, sand, oil-absorbent agent collect empty container. Use non-sparking tool. Work from windward of leakage place, and evacuate personnel in leeward. Ventilate the area. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

- Environmental precautions:

Prevent spills from entering sewers, watercourses and low areas.

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:

Don’t touch spilled material without suitable protection. Take up spilled material with drying sand or other absorbents. After material is completely picked up, wipe the spill site with waste cloth or dustcloth. Then flush the site with plenty of water and ventilate the area. Dispose of all wastes based on the related regulations. Remove, clean, or dispose of contaminated clothing.

Preventive measures for secondary accident: Wash contaminated surfaces with water.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling:

Preventive measures

(Protective measures against fire & explosion)
