The solubility of Distilled tall oil, maleated is > 1 mg/L and < 1g/L, and therefore the surface tension endpoint was tested in a GLP compliant test according to guideline EC 440/2008 Test A5 (Chilworth 2013). This study is considered suitable for use as the key study for this endpoint. The surface tension of distilled tall oil, maleated is 49.3 mN/m, therefore Distilled tall oil, maleated is considered to be surface active.
