Description of key information

Key study: Test method OECD 301C. No data on GLP. The substance is not readily biodegradable under test conditions.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

Key study: A readily biodegradation test was performed by MITI according to OECD Guideline 301 C. 30 ppm of activated sludge were exposed for 14 days to 100 ppm of test item. The biodegradation was analysed by indirect BOD analysis, obtaining a biodegradation of 0% and by direct GC analysis obtaining a biodegradation of 3%. The test substance was determined to be not readily biodegradable under test conditions.

This results was supported by an estimation performed with EPI-Suite, EPA (USA) / BIOWIN v4.10.
