Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Details

After the measurements there were no visible residues of the test item in the sample holders. The weight loss of the substance was 99.4%.

Interpretation of the differential scanning calorimeter curve

A melting point (endothermic peak) was detected at 1.4°C (extrapolated onset). An exothermic cold crystallisation was recorded at -19°C.

Conclusions:
A melting point value of 1.4°C at 1005 hPa was determined in a reliable study conducted according to an appropriate test protocol, and in compliance with GLP.

Conclusions:
A melting temperature of -1.1°C at 1013 hPa and a freezing temperature of 4.2°C at 1013 hPa was determined in a reliable study conducted according to an appropriate test protocol. It was not in compliance with GLP.

Description of key information

1.4 °C at 1005 hPa (OECD 102, differential scanning calorimetry)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The key study is supported by a measured melting temperature of -1.1°C (1013hPa) and a freezing temperature of 4.2°C (1013hPa) determined by Differential Scanning Calorimetry according to OECD Guideline 102.
