Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Appearance

The test item was observed to be a brown viscous liquid.

Melting/freezing point

The pour point of the test item was determined to be < -20 °C (< 253 K) using the pour point method (OECD 102 and EU Method A.1).

Boiling point

The test item was determined by differential scanning calorimetry to partially boil from approximately 190 °C to 400 °C at 100 kPa (OECD 103 and EU method A.2).

Relative density

Density of the test item was determined by the pycnometer method to be 1.15 x 10E03 kg/m3 at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C with relative density reported as 1.15 (OECD 109 and EU Method A.3).

Granulometry

Determination of particle size distribution is not relevant because the substance is not marketed or used in solid or granular form.

Vapour pressure

Vapour pressure of the test item was determined by the balance method to be 9.53 x 10E-03 at 25 °C (298 K), 2.33 x 10E-02 at 40 °C (313 K) and 0.225 at 70 °C (343 K) (OECD 104 and EU Method A.4).

Partition coefficient

The partition coefficient of the test item was not determined since the method was demonstrated to be not applicable to the inorganic active ingredient (OECD 117 and EU Method A.8).

Water solubility

Water solubility of the test item was determined using the flask method to be ≤ 7.8 x 10E-04 gCa/L, ≤ 3.2 x 10E-04 gB/L and < 1 x 10E-03 gTOC/L at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C from a nominal loading rate of 0.1 g/L (OECD 105 and EU Method A.6).

Surface tension

The surface tension of the test item was determined to be 72.0 mN/m at 19.5 ± 0.5 °C (90 % saturated solution from a loading rate of 5.5 g/L), using the ring method. The test item was not considered to be surface active. (OECD 115 and EU Method A.5).

Flash point

The flash point of the test item was determined to be 211 ± 2 °C using the closed cup equilibrium method (EU Method A.9).

Auto-ignition temperature

Auto-ignition temperature of the test item was determined to be 372±5 °C (EU Method A.15).

Flammability

The substance is a viscous liquid and a flash point determination was performed to fulfil the requirement for information on flammability of the substance. The test material was found to have a flash point of211±2 °Cand, based on experience in use, the substance is not pyrophoric and does not emit flammable gases in contact with water.

Explosive properties

Explosive properties were predicted negative based on chemical structure of the test item (EU Method A14).

Oxidising properties

Oxidising properties were predicted negative based on chemical structure of the test item (EU Method A.21).
