Appearance: Solid, dark brownish powder
Expiration date: 12 December 2010
Storage: At room temperature at about 20 °C
Analytical method:
high-performance liquid chromatography
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
< -4.5
Temp.:
20 °C
Remarks on result:
other: pH not available
Conclusions:
In conclusion, the partition coefficient, log Pow, of FAT 40810/A was calculated to be <- 4.5.
Executive summary:

Neither the HPLC-method according to OECD Guideline No. 117 nor the flask-shaking method according to OECD Guideline No. 107 were applicable for the determination of the partition coefficient of FAT 40810/A. Thus, the log Pow value for the test item was estimated from its solubility in n-octanol arid in water, respectively. The water solubility of the test item was stated to be 224 g/l. The result was used for the calculation of the partition coefficient. In conclusion, the partition coefficient, log Pow, of FAT 40810/A was calculated to be <-4.5.
