During the heating phase a distinct endothermic effect was observed in the temperature range of 40-170°C, which can be assigned to the boiling of the test item.

For the correction of the boiling temperature to standard pressure the test item was assigned to chemical group 3 (e.g. amines). A correction value f = 5.05 was used for the temperature of 130 °C.

The lowest measured onset temperature is corrected to standard pressure to be 129.49 °C and the highest onset temperature to be 130.77 °C. As the corrected onset temperatures in both tests deviate by more than 0.5 K from their mean value of 130.13 °C, the test item has a boiling range of 129 – 131 °C.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The test item 4,4-dimethyloxazolidine (CAS no. 51200-87-4) has a boiling range of
129 – 131 °C at standard pressure (1013 hPa) as determined by Differential Scanning Calorimetry according to Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 Method A.2. and OECD Test Guideline 103 (1995).
Executive summary:

The test item 4,4-dimethyloxazolidine (CAS no. 51200-87-4) has a boiling range of
129 – 131 °C at standard pressure (1013 hPa) as determined by Differential Scanning Calorimetry according to Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 Method A.2. and OECD Test Guideline 103 (1995).
