Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:

GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
flask method
Key result
Water solubility:
>= 92.4 - <= 95.2 other: %w/w
Conc. based on:
test mat. (total fraction)
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
6.3 - 7.6
Details on results:
During preliminary investigations, the concentration of test item in the aqueous solutions was determined to be close to the loading rates used. Therefore, it was decided to start preliminary testing at approximately 50:50 w/w and increase the loading rate.
The standard EC A.6 / OECD 105 methodology was not applicable to this test item due to its high solubility in water.
Overall, a range of sample concentrations ranging from 50 to 95% w/w of solution were prepared for visual assessment.
Conclusions:
The water solubility of the test item has been determined to be in the range 92.4 to 95.2 % w/w of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C.
Executive summary:

Water Solubility. In the range 92.4 to 95.2 % w/w of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C, by visual assessment using a modified flask method, designed to be compatible with Method A.6 Water Solubility of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 105 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995.

Description of key information

The water solubility of the test item has been determined to be in the range 92.4 to 95.2 % w/w of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C. The average of 938 g/L was used in the endpoint summary.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
938 g/L
