Additional information

Ecotoxicological information:

Valid acute studies based on international guidelines are available for aquatic invertebrates and algae. For aquatic invertebrates Daphnia magna, the most sensitive organisms tested, a 48h-EL50 value of 25 mg/L was determined based on nominal loading rates. For the algae Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, an 72h-ErL50 and an 72h-ErL10 values based on growth rate were determined to be 27.945 mg/L and 16.362 mg/L respectively, based on nominal loading rates.

Environmental fate and pathways:

The registered UVCB substance is considered readily biodegradable and therefore not persistent in the environment.

However, with log Kow in the range of 1.95 to 5.05 (QSAR calculated values), the registered substance is considered to have a potential for bioaccumulation based on the worst-case of major constituents.

Conclusion on classification

Data available:

- EC50 comprised between 10 and 100 mg/L

- Readily biodegradable

- log Kow in the range 1.95 to 5.05

Classification according to the Annex VI of the Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP): The registered substance is classified as Aquatic Chronic 3 for the environment.
