Endpoint:
boiling point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study with acceptable restrictions
Remarks:
The study was conducted in accordance with a relevant test method and in compliance with a known quality system (ISO 9001:2008).
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling point/boiling range)
GLP compliance:
no
Other quality assurance:
other: ISO 9001:2008
Type of method:
photocell detection
Key result
Boiling pt.:
195 °C
Atm. press.:
1 013 hPa
Remarks on result:
other: Capillary method
Boiling pt.:
>= 126.7 - <= 338.2 °C
Atm. press.:
1 013 hPa
Remarks on result:
other: DSC method

DSC Method:

A boiling point was not determined due to the sample having multiple transitions. Boiling temperature in the range 126.7 -338.2°C was obtained from the DSC thermogram.

Capillary method:

The boiling point of the sample was determined to be 195°C.

Conclusions:
A boiling temperature of 195°C at 1013 hPa was determined for the substance in accordance with a relevant test method and in compliance with a known quality system (ISO 9001:2008). The result is considered to be reliable.

Description of key information

Boiling point: 195°C at 1013 hPa (OECD 103)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
195 °C

Additional information

The boiling point of the substance was determined using both the DSC and capillary method in accordance with OECD 103 Test Guideline and in compliance with a known quality system (ISO 9001:2008). In the DSC method, boiling temperature range of 126.7 - 338.2°C at 1013 hPa was obtained for the substance. Using the capillary method, a boiling point value of 195°C at 1013 hPa was obtained. The results are considered to be reliable.
