Description of key information
The toxicity of ethylene glycol hexyl ether (EGHE) was evaluated in an algal study with Desmodesmus subspicatus (formerly Scenedesmus subspicatus) following DIN 38412, part L9 guidelines.

The toxicity of ethylene glycol hexyl ether (EGHE) was evaluated in an algal study with Desmodesmus subspicatus (formerly Scenedesmus subspicatus) following DIN 38412, part L9 guidelines and given a Klimisch rating of 2. The study reported a 72 -hr EC50 value of 198. mg/L (growth rate) and a 72 -hr EC10 of 23.4 mg/L (growth rate).
